David Diamond of SOM

David Diamond, FAIA, Technical Associate Director in SOM's San Francisco office, will speak at the ARCHx lecture series at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on Wednesday, February 22. 

His lecture, titled "Light and Shadow: A Case Study on the Cathedral of Christ the Light,” will explore the process of designing this architectural landmark in Oakland, California. A Cal Poly alumnus, Diamond will also discuss his career path and work with SOM.

Students in the ARCH 241 - Architectural Technology Fundamentals class display their custom-designed and handmade bricks. With the support of WRNS Architects in San Francisco, the class traveled to Pacific Clay in Lake Elsinore to make the bricks, after firing, they were shipped up to Cal Poly.
