Calling All Artists! Submit your artwork for the auction by Wednesday, June 24, 9 am.

Dear CAED Students, Faculty and Staff,

Building on the signature event hosted on campus by the American Institute of Architects Students (AIAS) club over the years, students have organized a virtual art auction this spring through Instagram. You are invited to participate by submitting a photo of your artwork, description and estimated value by 9 am on Wednesday, June 24 to caed.auction@gmail.com.

For optimal presentation, all artwork should be submitted through email as high-resolution images in SQUARE jpeg format. You may submit up to 3 images per artwork and must include the following information in your email:

Artwork title

Medium of production (e.g. acrylic on canvas) and artwork dimensions (in inches)

Your name and Cal Poly email address (include Instagram account if desired)

Asking price (minimum price to begin bids)

Important shipping information (if it is pick-up only or shipping anywhere, and estimated shipping costs, which can be calculated here https://postcalc.usps.com)

The student organizers will compile all of the photos and post them on the @caed_auction Instagram page. We are very excited to reimagine this event and provide the opportunity for everyone to participate virtually. Please submit no more than two pieces (each submitted as separate emails). This will make it much easier to setup postings on Instagram.

Thank you in advance for participating. Please also consider donating a portion of your proceeds to advance the mission of any organization that resonates with you. A few organizations that some of the artists plan to support are listed below

These are great organizations to support. The World Health Organization provides much-needed resources during these times of COVID-19 and the college helps to support students and events like this in the future.
