Interdisciplinary Education
Interdisciplinary project work is essential to addressing real problems in the built and constructed environment. Through integrated design and planning studio, the PDCI is in a position to match client needs to educational needs. Pilot courses that use the interdisciplinary approach can be assisted by PDCI. Collaboration and team approaches are part of the tool kit for interdisciplinary projects and PDCI stands ready to assist in getting the teams together and fostering collaboration for client-centered problems. The CIDS approach of linking the client to the classroom has achieved excellent results in the design of specialized building spaces and uses.
