CIDS, started in 1996, was funded by a university grant for the purpose of providing students an opportunity to use the latest technology in the context of the design studio. Students are exposed to using digital tools in balance with traditional media. A range of computer hardware and software tools improves student insight into project design process and provides opportunities for a range of multidisciplinary collaborations. Visit the interactive CIDS website to view student projects or take a “live” tour of the lab with the remote camera you control. Contact: Thomas Fowler, IV

sustainable issues, principles and concepts in their teaching, research
and professional practice. Its membership is by involvement in activities
that advance the curricular, faculty and student development and the University’s
understanding of the concerns and opportunities related to the paradigm
of sustainability.
