Gary Dwyer Exhibits at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art
July 5 – August 31

SEEING / THINKING / LIVING is the title of Professor Emeritus Gary Dwyer’s upcoming exhibit at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art July 5 through August 31. This once-only exhibit includes examples of his work from 1989 to the present. A founding faculty member of Cal Poly’s landscape architecture program, in 2007, DesignIntelligence singled Gary Dwyer out as “one of the nation’s most respected and admired educators.”

An opening reception for SEEING / THINKING / LIVING will take place with wine and refreshments from 3 to 5 p.m. on July 5 at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, intersection of Broad and Monterey streets.

Gary Dwyer will deliver a lecture about the exhibit at the museum at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 6.

Degrees in landscape architecture and sculpture led Gary to become a photographer, eventually photographing two climbing expeditions in the Nepal Himalaya. Other locations where he was commissioned to work include Baffin Island in the Canadian High Arctic, West Australia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Hue, Vietnam, and in Sicily, for The World Monuments Fund.
