Lydia Humphrey Memorial Work-Study & Loan Programs

OVERVIEW

The Lydia Humphrey Memorial Work-Study Program and the Lydia Humphrey Memorial Loan Program are made possible by a generous endowment bequest from the estate of Ms. Geneveve Musick in honor of her sister.

The CAED Dean's Office coordinates the employment opportunities of the Lydia Humphrey Memorial Work-Study Program. Please apply online via handshake/mustang Jobs starting in mid-July.

The maximum LHMWS amount for the academic year is $2,525 ($10.00/hour) per student. For scheduling purposes, students are expected to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week. Checks are disbursed according to the university's student employee payroll schedule.

The University Financial Aid office administers the Lydia Humphrey Memorial Loan Program. Student loans are available up to $4,500 per year. Please contact the Financial Aid office (756-5878) for additional information.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrolled in one of the five CAED majors (Arce, Arch, CRP, CM, or LA);
  • Enrolled full-time Fall, Winter, & Spring Quarters in at least 12 units for undergraduate and 8 units for graduate students; However, may not be participating in an off-campus program;
  • Have a minimum of 2.0 GPA undergraduate/ 3.0 GPA graduate, and be in good academic standing; and
  • Meet the qualifications of the support area(s) for which you apply

Giving to the CAED

Students in the ARCH 241 - Architectural Technology Fundamentals class display their custom-designed and handmade bricks. With the support of WRNS Architects in San Francisco, the class traveled to Pacific Clay in Lake Elsinore to make the bricks, after firing, they were shipped up to Cal Poly.
